Harrison Town Center is making regional headlines again, and the latest news brings two more familiar names closer to home.

TJ Maxx and Chase Bank have signed leases at the approximately $60 million development at 10400 Harrison Avenue. With those additions, every available space is now either leased or in the final stages of negotiations.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported the new leases Sept. 24, continuing a run of coverage that has included the Cincinnati Business Courier, WLWT and WCPO in recent months. That attention has introduced audiences across the region to a project that will give Harrison more shopping options and hundreds of new jobs. Read full story here.

For people who live here in Harrison, the significance is much closer to home: more places to shop and work without leaving the community.

“To see this development continue to fill in with businesses that people know and want to have close to home is really exciting,” said Mayor Ryan Grubbs..

More businesses choosing Harrison

TJ Maxx plans to occupy approximately 25,000 square feet and is expected to bring 45 to 50 jobs to Harrison. Chase Bank will occupy approximately 3,100 square feet, with about 15 jobs anticipated.

They join a tenant lineup that includes Target, Aldi, Five Below, Tropical Smoothie, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Esther Price and Fifth Third Bank. Together, those businesses are filling out a center that will put everyday errands and new shopping destinations in one location along Harrison Avenue.

Midland Atlantic Properties, the developer, identified Harrison’s location along the I-74 corridor and new housing development as important reasons for investing here.

“We are investing in a thriving community and providing residents with the high-quality shopping amenities they desire and deserve right in their own backyard,” said John Silverman, managing principal of Midland Atlantic Properties.

When fully developed, Harrison Town Center is expected to represent approximately $60 million in private investment and create an estimated 575 jobs. The projected jobs at TJ Maxx and Chase Bank are part of that overall estimate.

When will businesses open?

According to the latest project update, sitework is approximately 90 percent complete. Openings are expected to happen in stages, with some businesses anticipated to welcome customers beginning in August 2027.

Target is currently planning an October 2027 opening. The full development is expected to be built out by the second quarter of 2028.
