Exciting news! First Watch is preparing to join Harrison Town Center, and Olive Garden has taken an early step toward a possible location there, too. Nearby, the development beside Kroger has its first confirmed tenant.

“To see this development continue to fill in with businesses that people know and want to have close to home is really exciting,” said Mayor Ryan Grubbs.

First Watch Plans for Harrison Town Center

First Watch, known for breakfast, brunch and lunch, is expected to join the development at 10400 Harrison Ave. Building permit applications have been submitted to the Harrison Building Department, with construction expected to begin in the next few months.

Other announced businesses include Target, Aldi, Five Below, TJ Maxx, Tropical Smoothie, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Esther Price, Chase Bank and Fifth Third Bank.

When fully developed, Harrison Town Center is expected to represent approximately $60 million in private investment and create an estimated 575 jobs. Each signed lease brings the development closer to offering more choices and new jobs right here at home.

Target is currently projected to open in October 2027, with the full development expected to be built out by the second quarter of 2028. An opening date for First Watch has not yet been announced.

An Early Step for Olive Garden

Olive Garden Holdings, LLC has applied for a liquor permit through the Ohio Division of Liquor Control, an early step toward a potential Olive Garden at Harrison Town Center.

The application will come before Harrison City Council, which will decide whether to request a hearing with the state. This is a standard part of Ohio’s liquor permit process.

A lease has not yet been officially signed, so the restaurant’s arrival is still pending.

New Development Beside Kroger

A separate project at 10477 Harrison Ave., next to the existing Kroger store, is also preparing for construction.

Kentro Group’s approximately $3 million development is expected to create 60 to 75 new jobs. Fitness studio Body Alive has signed the first lease for 3,000 square feet, and the developer is pursuing additional retail and restaurant businesses.

The building permit for the shell is approved, with construction expected to begin within four to eight weeks, according to the developer’s current schedule. Space is expected to be delivered to tenants in the first quarter of 2027, with some businesses beginning to open in August 2027.
