Harrison is drawing attention across the Cincinnati region as major private investment continues to take shape in the City.

At Harrison Town Center, the approximately $60 million retail development at 10400 Harrison Ave., Five Below and Esther Price are the newest retailers to officially join the project. They add to a confirmed lineup that includes Target, Aldi, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Fifth Third Bank.

Nearly all available retail space has now been committed. All but approximately 4,800 square feet is either leased or in active negotiations, with additional tenant announcements expected as agreements are finalized.

Construction moves closer to opening

Sitework is approximately 90 percent complete. The first businesses are anticipated to open as early as August 2027, with Target currently planning an October 2027 opening. The full development is expected to be built out by the second quarter of 2028.

Once complete, Harrison Town Center is expected to represent approximately $60 million in private investment and create an estimated 575 new jobs.

“Harrison’s trajectory as the fastest-growing city in Hamilton County made it the clear choice for this development,” said John Silverman, managing principal of Midland Atlantic Properties. “We are investing in a thriving community and providing residents with the high-quality shopping amenities they desire and deserve right in their own backyard.”

Silverman pointed to Harrison’s location along the I-74 corridor, continued residential development and expanding trade area as important factors attracting businesses to the project.

Harrison’s growth reaches a wider audience

Now the Business Courier has returned to Harrison with another major development story.

On Aug. 14, the Business Courier reported that Cencora has started work on a $106 million automated pharmaceutical distribution facility at Harrison Commerce Center, 9981 Harrison Ave. The Fortune 100 company has leased the full approximately 534,000-square-foot building. The project is expected to create 140 full-time jobs, and Cencora expects its Harrison facility to be fully operational by spring 2027.

The Cencora project is separate from Harrison Town Center, but together the two developments represent approximately $166 million in private investment and an estimated 715 new jobs in Harrison.

“Every new announcement is another sign of the confidence businesses have in Harrison and where our community is headed,” Mayor Ryan Grubbs said. “We’re excited to welcome Five Below and Esther Price to Harrison Town Center and continue building a destination that serves our residents while creating new opportunities for our city.”

What happens next

Midland Atlantic Properties is in the final stages of negotiations with prospective Town Center tenants and will provide updates as additional leases are signed.

The Source will continue to share confirmed information as it becomes available, giving residents one trusted place to follow the projects changing Harrison and the investment coming into the community.
