If there’s one thing the Harrison Senior Center knows how to do, it’s bring people together and this spring, that meant outings filled with good company, great food, and a little bit of flair.
In April, a group of older adults from the Senior Center took a field trip to Olive Garden for a relaxing afternoon of lunch and laughter. Surrounded by warm breadsticks and even warmer friendships, the visit offered a chance to reconnect and enjoy a favorite local dining spot.
On May 7, another group of senior ladies made the most of the sunshine with a shopping excursion, followed by lunch at Panera. Out and about in the community, they took time to enjoy one another’s company and pick up a few favorite things along the way. These outings offer more than just a change of scenery they strengthen the close-knit bonds that make Harrison feel like home.

Earlier this spring, the Senior Center also hosted its annual Easter Hat event, a beloved tradition filled with creativity and color. Participants designed and wore hats that showed off their personality, bringing joy and a healthy dose of whimsy to the celebration.
These events are a reminder of the City’s ongoing commitment to connection, inclusion, and quality of life at every age. Whether it’s gathering over a shared meal or getting out to explore local shops, the Senior Center continues to be a place where older people in Harrison can laugh, create, and make memories that matter.
