City of Harrison Celebrates Cencora’s Regional Impact and National Recognition
Company honored with REDI Cincinnati’s James A. Wuenker Growth Award
HARRISON, Ohio (March 19, 2026) – The City of Harrison is celebrating a significant honor that has been bestowed on one of its newest developments, as Cencora has been recognized with a James A. Wuenker Growth Award by REDI Cincinnati at its 12th Annual Meeting.
The annual awards honor companies whose recent investments are strengthening the regional economy.
For Harrison, Cencora’s continued growth represents both a major milestone and a shared point of pride.
“Cencora’s investment in Harrison is more than a project, it’s a partnership,” said Mayor Ryan Grubbs. “We’re so proud for this future member of the Harrison business community to have been honored within the greater Cincinnati region. It is also a significant honor and point of pride for us to be able to support a company that is creating opportunities here at home while making an impact far beyond our community.”
Cencora, a Fortune 100 global pharmaceutical company, announced plans last August to invest in a new distribution and storage facility in Harrison, bringing an estimated $14 million in new payroll to the region. The project reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the community and its role in supporting jobs and economic stability on the west side of Cincinnati.
Now under development, the 530,000-square-foot national distribution center is expected to be fully operational by spring 2027. Once complete, the facility will significantly expand Cencora’s capacity while strengthening the infrastructure that supports patients, providers and healthcare systems across the country.
The Harrison facility will also incorporate advanced automation technologies, including robotic handling systems, artificial intelligence and autonomous mobile robots, enhancing both efficiency and reliability across Cencora’s operations.
“We’re grateful for the partnership with the City of Harrison, REDI Cincinnati and JobsOhio as we expand our presence in the region,” said Heather Zenk, President of U.S. Supply Chain at Cencora. “Receiving the James A. Wuenker Growth Award reflects the commitment our teams bring every day to supporting the patients, providers and partners who rely on us. We truly believe all healthcare is local and look forward to building on our longstanding history in the community.”
As construction progresses, the City of Harrison is looking forward to Cencora’s continued growth and the lasting benefits it will bring to local families, the workforce and the broader regional economy.
